Visit: Scotland Street School

Getting off at Shields Road station will put you on the door step of Scotland Street School Museum [11]. A former school designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, it is one of the most impressive examples of his work in the city. Of particular note are the glazed tower staircases, main entrance hall and stone carvings. Inside you can find out more about the architect and his work as well as the museums main attraction – taking you through 100 years of Scottish education, including reconstructed classrooms from the 19th + 20th Century.
